Cis your freezer fueled? Processed foods or healthier options? A nutritionist revealed what's always in her freezer. In addition to getting a more balanced diet, it also allows you to waste less time in the kitchen.

Ana Luzón is a nutritionist and HuffPost explained what is always available in her freezer. Look, pizzas and ice cream aren't the foods that are part of the choices. See what's missing from this specialist's house.

What a nutritionist always has in the freezer

Onions, peppers and garlic are some of the vegetables you always have in the freezer, whatever time of year. “I always have onions, pepper and garlic frozen. They are my favorite ingredients for cooking: I can start a sauté at any time without having to peel, chop and dirty the kitchen”, it begins by saying.

“ Freeze vegetables does not mean sacrificing nutritional quality. Frozen vegetables can be a perfectly valid option and are also available all year round”, continues Ana Luzón.

On the other hand, mixtures of vegetables are also indicated to be always available. “I usually keep a bag of mixed vegetables such as peppers, onions and eggplants. I use it to make a ratatouille fast and have a vegetable base for a meal. Not everything needs to be done at home from scratch. Having certain processes already defined is precisely what facilitates maintaining healthy habits.”

And one fake cauliflower rice is other foods that never fails in this specialist's freezer. “Not because it should replace rice, but because it is a very quick way to incorporate vegetables and prepare a lunch or dinner in a few minutes.”

Meat and fish are other choices you always find. “I buy meat and fish once a month in the market and freeze in portions. So I don’t need to thaw out a lot or decide what to buy every time I want to have a meal.”

Fruit and vegetables are mandatory

For fruit, the blueberrys are mandatory in the nutritionist's freezer. “I use mainly at night with yogurt or kefir, and they are always at hand, without needing to worry that they will be ruined.”

Option for one potatoes, sweet potatoes and purple onions there is no shortage, just like avocado or bananas something mature. “I don’t throw out very mature bananas: I freeze them. Then they can be used to make breakfast bowls, smoothies or banana cake.”

Thus, the freezer turns out to be a great helper of a balanced and healthier diet.

“The freezer is also a tool to make better use of food and reduce waste. It is not about having the perfect freezer, but about having food that makes it easier to make good decisions when you have little time or little desire to cook.”

Aspartame is safe, says EU agency. Organizations react: “Sadly”

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) determined on Thursday that the use of aspartame-acesulfam salt (E 962) as a food additive has no health risks, a conclusion strongly contested by several non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
