Gwearing makeup as well as skin care products in the bathroom may even be convenient with regard to routine. However, this practice is discouraged by experts, according to Better Homes & Gardens.
“The heat, humidity and temperature variations can accelerate product degradation,” said Tia Paul, a doctor and director of bluSONIL.
“ Over time, this means that skin care products may lose their effectiveness and make-up spoils more quickly,” he said.
Ideally, the expert indicates, is to keep these products away from direct sun exposure, using them only within the recommended shelf life.
Point out these makeup tidying tips and beauty products.
Products you should not clean in the bathroom
Products with active ingredients: antioxidants, particularly vitamin C and retinol, are more unstable than many other ingredients for skin care. This means that they can lose their effectiveness more easily and have a shorter service life.
FPS: one of the products that can lose its properties are sunscreens. So they stop protecting like they're supposed to.
Lipsticks: They can melt when exposed to higher temperatures.
Cream makeup: creamy products such as bases, creamy blushes and brokers, as well as water-based products, are more susceptible to bacteria that proliferate in humid environments.
Pack sizes in bottles: open bottles, as well as compact powders, are more susceptible to bacterial growth, while the latter can also harden, making it harder to use when stored in a humid environment.
Natural or unpreserved products: your formulas may spoil more quickly when exposed to light and moisture.
