Athe UK authorities are looking for a passenger who has left an urn with “human ashes or remains” inside a train that has traveled from London in England to Aberdeen in Scotland for the last four months.
“ Our agents in Aberdeen are working to return a lost urn to their owner. The small red urn is wrapped in artificial purple and white flowers and is held by a teddy bear brown”, said the British Transport Police, on social network Facebook, on Friday.
Authorities believe that the urn was forgotten on a train “traveling from London Kings Cross to Aberdeen”, and was then “delivered to the lost and found upon the arrival of the train to Aberdeen”.
The incident will have happened in the last four months.
“ The urn appears to contain human ashes or remains and will clearly have enormous sentimental value for someone. Unfortunately, we have no further information on where the owner may have boarded or landed during the trip. We are making this call in the hope that the person or family concerned will contact us so that we can arrange for their safe return,” said Agent Gary Herning, quoted in the publication.
