A Public Security Police (PSP) monitoring calls for an alleged “rebellion” today in various shopping centers in the city of Lisbon, including Colombo, revealing that there were spaces that asked for reinforcement of agents.
Source of PSP told the agency Lusa that, following calls for an alleged “rebellion” circulating on social networks, there was shopping centers in the city of Lisbon that requested the reinforcement of PSP agents who are normally ensuring the safety in paid service, commonly known as a gratified service, which is provided by agents outside their normal working hours, at the request of public or private entities.
Without any concrete data on the reinforcement request and for which shopping centres, the same source indicated that no special PSP device has been allocated to respond to this situationbut the police are watching and monitoring, and if you're called to any occurrence, you'll intervene.
Lusa questioned Colombo's shopping centre about the security response in this context, awaiting an answer.
Na last week viralized on social networks and were news appeals and posters about an alleged “rebellion” at Colombo Center, called for today, October 31, at 5:30 p.m., aiming at “invasion” and looting of stores, such as JD Sports, and the “vandalization” of that commercial space.
The theme gained prominence with the complaints made by several accounts of leaders of the Aquimá party and far-right groups, who amplified the alleged appeals to rebellion that would be circulating in the TikTok and in closed networks as groups of WhatsApp.
Lusa Verifica, a fact-checking service of the Lusa news agency, analyzed dozens of publications and assessed that it is “True, but...”, since several of these publications were made by young content creators just to generate clicks, which does not mean that some kind of contempt cannot actually occur.
Lusa Verifica posed several questions to the 19-year-old who shared several posters with the countdown to the so-called “rebellion” after identifying his telephone contact in a publication about one of the WhatsApp groups.
Without answering the questions directly, the person responsible for the @BebyDeizy3 account at TikTok acknowledged that his publications “may have implied that there was a real intention,” but assured that “there was no real plan” to vandalize Columbus.
“I want to make it clear that I never intended to encourage any invasion, vandalism or illegal behavior. All the content that was released came in a context of play among friends, including the creation of a group in WhatsApp and some posters with humor and provocation”, said the young man.
In the same reply sent through WhatsApp, the author of the publications also apologized for the success.
“ I regret whether the publications caused concern or were interpreted differently. That was never the intention. I hope you understand my clarification and that this situation is not interpreted as an incentive to illegal acts. My intention was never that”, reinforce.
