Nan interview in the ‘El Intermedio’ program, from La Friday, Pedro Sánchez again defended the need for a good relationship with Morocco and asked for patience so that the crisis can be resolved completely.

The head of the Spanish Executive highlighted the need to complete the process of identification of migrants to determine which people should be returned and who can benefit from international law.

Pedro Sanchez also said that the government wants this to be done in the shortest possible time, and that it is working to resolve the crisis sooner than later.

When asked about the moment when he expects Ceuta to regain normality, he recalled that the deadline for the single command in the face of this crisis is the end of the year, and he is confident that by then the situation will be stabilised.

Sánchez mentioned the controversy over the CNI's wasap warnings to Gonzalo Sanz, who resigned from the office of chief of staff of the government delegate in Ceuta, Miguel Ángel Pérez Triano, after ensuring that he warned his superior about them.

“ Whatsapp is not proof that there was warning, on the contrary,” he said, explaining that intelligence services information is not transmitted by whatsapp, but by reports sent to departments such as Interior or Defense.

What these whatsapps prove, in their opinion, is that there has been attention from Spain and Morocco to the increase in illegal entry, but not in the proportion to which it occurred.

Sánchez again defended the need for a good relationship with Morocco, stressing that it is for that country that most people have to return to Spain and insisted that there is still no proof that this country has been behind the “avalanch”.

So you asked not to make disrespectful statements about this country.

In addition, he categorically rejected, “at all”, he replied when asked about it, that he was pressured by Morocco for being able to have some sensitive information about him obtained by spying on his mobile phone. And he qualified these accusations as rumors, indicating that they may make sense “in a Netflix series,” but not in reality.
