O Santa Clara left, this Sunday, Sporting on the qualifying table, suffering a home defeat at the hands of Gil Vicente (1-2), with the right to go back, in play of the 11th League journey. At the same time, but in Madeira, the National beat the Academic of Viseu (1-0) with a goal on the edge of the end, a day after the date scheduled for the meeting.

Excited late in the Azores..

Santa Clara wanted to return to third place, where he left after Sporting won, on Saturday night, Moreirense, and at 30 minutes he even moved to the front of the marker.

Fernando appeared in Lucão's face, shot hard, but the ball hit Antonio Espigares and betrayed Gil Vicente's guardian, with the Spanish defense making a self-governing.

Visitors managed to react at the start of the second part and the draw goal would eventually appear at 52 minutes by Walace France.

About 10 minutes later Santa Clara suffered a new setback in the match, due to the expulsion of Pedro Pacheco, who saw referee Diogo Rosa show him a straight red.

Gil Vicente became moralized by the goal and numerical superiority and went in search of the second goal, which he would eventually obtain at 81 minutes. Murilo was called to convert a direct freeman and executed him in an excellent way, putting the ball down but placed at the bottom of the Azorean goal.

Santa Clara still tried to react, with Petit launching four letters from the bank, but the triumph did not escape the men of Barcelos.

With this result, Gil Vicente remains secure in seventh place, now with 18 points, and even takes advantage of the slip of the... academic.

...and no fog in Madeira

In turn, the National beat the Viseu Academic with a matchoi Djaló goal on the verge of the end. The clash in the Choupana ended 24 hours after the initial forecast, because of the fog that struck Madeira on Saturday, but which gave truce at the beginning of Sunday afternoon.

This was, moreover, the first victory of João Henriques at the helm of the technical command and the third of the National in this championship, which means the conquest of three important points, jumping to the 13th place, where it is now, to the condition, with 10 points.

On the other hand, the Academico sees a series of six consecutive games always winning, averaging the third loss in the championship. Still, the group of Viseu remains in sixth place, with 20 points, and Arouca, who is in fifth rank, also lost, in Famalicão, and continues with the same punctual record.

What happens on the next journey?

For now, the championship will pause, due to the appointments of the selections, and in the next round the Academic receives, at home, the Alverca, while the National goes to Madeira to measure forces with the Maritime in the derby of the Islands.

Santa Clara travels to the stronghold of Moreirense, while Gil Vicente receives the suffering Estoril.
