“That they are accused [we don’t know yet],” he said, pointing out that it should be a crime of disobedience.

Four women and three men were arrested today following protests for housing in Porto.

“ That's seven detainees, four women and three boys. In this case, two mothers [from the newly created movement ‘Mothers of the Camp’], another girl and then boys,” said Tiago Machado who spoke to journalists at 6:30 a.m. near the Heroism Squadron where the detainees were sent and where dozens of protesters made a vigil while waiting for the detainees to leave and celebrated when it occurred.

Asked about the use of force by the police today in Praça D. João I, in Porto, Tiago Machado considered it “unmeasured”.

“ A force, I think, at the level of effective and applied force, with dogs too (...). A disproportion of staff for the people who were ", considered.

Safeguarding that after the police charge in Praça D. João I went to the Heroism Squadron, the lawyer did not speak about the clashes between police and protesters who also took place on the Avenue of the Allies.
