Sharon Stone lived a very difficult time with his mother's death, Dorothy. The 68-year-old actress was on the podcast “All There Is with Anderson Cooper” and talked about this difficult grief.

Dorothy died last year at 91. “My mother often behaved as if she did not like me at all. She had a very, very terrible childhood and was removed from home when she was 9 [years] because she was a victim of violent abuse”, she started by telling.

“ When my mother died, she was in my house and I was looking after her, but she was terrified of dying because she was afraid her parents were there. So I had to lie to her and tell her that her father was in prison and that her mother was in a psychiatric hospital, and that they would not be there,” she said.

Sharon Stone recalled that, at the end of her life, her mother was “fighting with all her strength” to stay alive. Until she realized she had to let her mother go.

“I realized I had to let her go. I had to stop moving around in the room. I had to climb the stairs and ignore my mother so that she would die”, confided. “I must distance myself and free myself, and she will only die if I let her go.”

Very moved, the actress confessed to the 59-year-old host Anderson Cooper, how “difficult” this moment was, especially because she liked hearing some words of comfort from her mother. In fact, you've been looking forward to them all your life.

“I wanted her to say: “I am proud of you. I love you. I'm sorry. You are important to me”. But I knew I would not hear those words.”

And in tears, he said: “I had to accept the fact that my mother would not do that. In order for her to leave in peace, I had to free her.”
