AND if there was a Topolin... Abart? ? The idea will be right on the table, with the aim of attracting more young people to this two-seater electric quadricycle thought of micromobility.
It is a model that can be driven by under 18 years of age (in Portugal, for example, from the age of 16). But still, buyers have a much higher average age - around 40.
Fiat wants to lower this age group, and Executive Director Olivier François spoke to the publication Buscar about an Abarth version of Topolino: “We're working on it and it might happen. It would be a total success“.
But if you're thinking of a high-performance quad, forget it regulations limit power and speed, therefore these values cannot increase significantly.
So, what would distinguish a Topolin Abart? Design characteristics: “We want to make an Abarth sensation for TopolinoBecause we're still trying to increase sales to young people. [...]. I want to win their hearts, which is why we now have Topolino Sport. An Abarth Topolino could be another solution,” said FIAT director for Europe, Gaetano Thorel.
Fiat Topolino is a very versatile model, having several different versions with different focuses – among more jovial, premium or sports touches, for example. The model, which in Portugal requires only driving licence AM and can be conducted from the age of 16 years, has autonomy up to 75 km and may circulate speeds up to 45 km/ h.
