“ It is part of our entire life, in particular those who are my age and who have deprived with it, of the time when the Trovantes grew up and marked Portuguese culture but also our lives. We often met in the bars he was having,” said the former Prime Minister.
Isaltino Morais, president of the city council of Oeiras, knew closely the artist, to whom he nicknamed “a fantastic human being”.
“He was a fantastic human being. I have some stories with him, contrary to what sometimes artists appear, he had a fantastic human dimension, he was a very simple person”, he explained.
