The next game from the same studio responsible for “Dark Souls” and “Elden Ring” was originally scheduled to arrive at this end of 2026, but FromSoftware has now announced that it needs more time to refine the gaming experience.

FromSoftware shared a statement where it says “although development is in the final stage of adjustments”, decided to postpone the release to have more time to tune certain aspects of the game.

“ We apologize to players who eagerly await the launch of this game and thank you for the patience and support”You can read it in the FromSoftware communiqué. “ During the online test, we verified a great interest in the main concepts of the game, including combat, strategy depth and how players can express themselves. To further improve these elements, we decided to postpone the release, allowing more time for the latest adjustments to the rules and balance of the game.”.

Remember that this is not the first time the Japanese producer has postponed one of its games on Switch 2. The version of “Elden Ring” was first scheduled for 2025, but was not released until August this year.

In any case, Switch 2 players will certainly have no difficulty staying entertained during this 2026 final. Remember that the long awaited remake of “The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time” will be released next week, november 5th.
