O Aarhus, next against Sporting Braga in the League Football conference, returned to defeats today, losing on the visit to Brondby (2–0), on the 13th day of the regular phase of the Danish League.
The Croatian Marko Divković (31 minutes) and Mads Frokjaer-Jensen (82) sealed the fifth defeat of the champions in the race, which had scored in the last four rounds and, in the middle, headed to the final quarters of the national Cup.
The Aarhus remains in eighth place, with 12 points, and is now five from the clearance zone of the champion, in which the Brondby is fourth ranked and accumulates 22, against 31 from the isolated leader Midtjylland.
The holders of the Danish title will receive the Sporting of Braga on Thursday, at 18:45 locals (17:45 in Lisbon), in play of the third of six days of the League Conference league phase, which will take place in Randers.
The Aarhus was relegated to the third European club competition in August, losing with Benfica in the playoff of access to the main level of the Europa League, suffering two losses by 3-1 (6-2 in the aggregate of both hands).
