Faltam two weeks for John Ternus to take over as Apple's CEO and, during this period, the company's (still) leader, Tim Cook, has given some interviews where he makes a balance sheet of the 15 years he spent ahead of the technological giant.
More than the market value, launched products or new created categories, Cook wants to believe that the 15-year-old “legacy” he leaves at Apple is that he was “a good and decent man.”.
One cBS interview News which took place in Houston in the state of Texas, in the US, Cook reflected on what it means, in his vision, to leave a good legacy as Apple CEO.
“ In my vision, your legacy is described by others, not by yourself”Cook answered when asked how he described the term as Apple CEO. “ I hope people say I was a good and decent man. If you end up saying that, I feel like I've achieved something”.
more expensive iPhones this year?
Despite the great growth Apple has experienced over the past few years, the RAM component crisis may have a strong impact on Apple products and force the company to increase the prices of iPhones, Macs, iPads and other products.
This challenge on the horizon was also a topic of conversation during the same interview, with Apple's COO, Sabih Khan, advancing that he is working on a way to mitigate the effects. However, the executive admitted that Apple “is not immune” these increases in component costs.
“There is a component, memory, that [price] is increasing at an unprecedented rate in a very short time”, explained Khan. “We are not immune to this. We are working with our suppliers to find solutions”.
It must be remembered that, in addition to a new CEO, next September Apple will launch a new generation of iPhones and, according to rumors, price increases are expected.
What do the rumors say?
We probably only have concrete information at Apple's annual event scheduled for September but, however, a page on social network X states that those interested in purchasing the iPhones from 2026 can count on a price increase.
Moreover, price increases will also reach the older models of Apple's mobile phones.
“ All iPhone models – new and old – will have a $100 price increase”You can read it on the Yogesh Brar page.
Moreover, the person responsible for this page states that these new prices will come into force with the presentation of the iPhone 18 series Pro – pointed to September 8.
Of course, this information has not yet been officially confirmed by Apple, so we will have to wait a little longer for company news.
After multiple tours, we have not seen price hike on iPhones
We will see the new rates by September 8th, with the iPhone 18 Pro series.
All new & old iPhone models will get a $100 hike
(Apple never tips off distributors weeks in advance about a hike, stop falling for leaks)
