As oven grills is one of the parts that gets dirty most easily. Why, when they do not clean regularly, they tend to accumulate fat residues and burnt food that is difficult to remove.
In order to avoid this scenario, Trish Duarte, president and CEO of Maidpro in Temecula, revealed to Martha Stewart's website how this cleaning must be done.
How to wash oven grills: step by step
When there's fat embedded in the grills, the wire mop is your best friend.
– Sodium bicarbonate;
– Degreasing detergent;
– Wire mop;
– Sodium peroxide.
Cleaning instructions:
“ This method is simple, ecological and avoids the strong vapors of cleaning products for the oven ", says Duarte.
Step 1: Prepare your cleaning solution
Start by mixing it, combining half to 1 cup of sodium bicarbonate with 1/4 cup of percarbonate and dish detergent.
Step 2: Use the sink or bathtub
You'll need room to leave the grills in the sauce oven, so if they don't fit in the sink of your kitchen, choose the bathtub or a large alguidar. “Use a cup of sodium peroxide,” said Duarte.
Step 3: Dive in hot water
Fill the tub with hot water and add the cleaning solution. Then leave the same sauce 4 to 12 hours. “I like to soak them during the night, because it gives plenty of time for the solution to act on the difficult spots,” he said.
Step 4: Rub
“ After leaving the sauce, rub the bars with the wire mop ", says Duarte. “Grow some sodium bicarbonate in the sponge for a more potent effect”.
Step 5: Rinse and dry
“ Rinse well the grills with warm water and dry them completely with a towel to avoid rust”, advises. You can also use the white cleaning stone, a natural cleaning product containing clay and soap.
