Concentration of Góis Motorcycles begins on Thursday with Xutos and Pontapés

Dfour days, the village of Góis, the seat of a municipality with just over 3,800 inhabitants, almost quadruples its population with the event, which, in addition to the activities related to motorcycles, has several musical concerts.

After the forced cancellation of the previous edition, due to a forest fire, the president of Góis Moto Clube, Nuno Pinto, pointed out that the organization is “preparing the concentration so that everything goes the best way and safeguarding all situations, although nature cannot be controlled”.

The leader highlighted the ambitious program of this edition, which begins on Thursday with the performance of the Portuguese rock band Xutos and Pontapés, which is preceded by the group #the80’s.

On the 14th, The Gift, after the performance of Fade Out and Peakles, come up on stage on a night that ends with the Karetus.

The last night of the motorcycle concentration is animated by the CRF, Peste & AIDS and David Antunes.

The event ends on the 16th, as usual parade through the streets of Góis.

“ We are very optimistic, almost doubling the number of subscribers for previous years. Last year was already being the best year ever, with 10,000 registered for the first day, when there were concentrations that did not reach that number in total ", stressed the president of Góis Moto Clube.

For four days, the International Concentration of Góis Motorcycles has street animation and water games on the river Ceira, exhibitions, a fair, a ‘sunset’ and work sessions, the Meeting of Vespas, mini-rail, sidecar and female concentration of motorcyclists.

According to Ricardo Pinto, the concentration, which involves 400 volunteers in the organization, further boosts neighboring municipalities (Lousã, Arganil, Pampilhosa da Serra, Vila Nova de Poiares and Castanheira de Pera), which benefit in the sectors of restoration and accommodation.
