Shoots Matosinhos, makes five wounded and is now identified. She's 19

A Public Security Police (PSP) identified, this Friday, the presumed author of the shots that left five people injured in June, in Matosinhos, in the district of Porto.

According to a statement sent to News to Minutes, the investigation carried out by the authorities dates back to June 28, 2026, when several people circulating on Roberto Ivens/Avenida Street of the Republic “were hit by lead projectiles, presumably fired by an air pressure weapon”.

“Following the occurrence five victims were identified, four men and one woman, who had apparently mild injuries, and one of them was transported to a hospital to receive medical care,” reads in the note, which also realizes that everything happened at the beginning of the night, around 8:20 p.m.

Three lead projectiles were recovered and seized at the site where people were hit, even in June.

Faced with the situation, the steps began and, later developed, these “allowed to collect elements that led to the identification of the presumed author of the shots, a 19-year-old individual, residing in the site object of the search” home that happened this Friday.

“In the course of the diligence carried out, a compressed air gun of 4.5 mm caliber was seized, hidden outside the residence, presumably used,” states the PSP, which adds that the case was handed over to the competent judicial authority and that the investigation continues “with a view to fully clarifying the circumstances of the occurrence and the clearance of the corresponding criminal responsibilities”.

The news of the shooting was at the time advanced by Jornal de Notícias, who, on the spot, spoke to some witnesses who reported that already the previous day [June 27] would have been fired lead projectiles in that same zone. At the same time, the prosecutor opened an inquiry into the case.
