“ I closed my Instagram account for mental health”

R45-year-old Godinho recently participated in a SCI debate News about the theme social networks. The actor gave his testimony as an artist and public figure who does not currently have Instagram account.

“ I wasn't aware of this news that these two personalities had been criticized for their physical characteristics, but it's the same thing as me going to play poker and complaining about the bluff. If you are in the game, you have to play it ", defended. 

“ I think people are getting more and more exposed. I think privacy and intimacy are concepts that are in the process of extinction, if not already extinct, and then people, paradoxically, have less and less ability to tolerate criticism, regardless of whether it is valid or not“, continued, clarifying then the reasons that led him to close his Instagram account. 

“ It's exactly because I think it's not valid that I don't think we should play this game. Because even deep issues, such as therapy, come to my attention that is a very popular subject now on social networks. Even matters that should be looked at and treated in a profound way, as we do therapy, which is a very positive thing, but it is only very positive if we do it for the right reasons and the right way. If it is because it is a fashion, a trend, if it is to generate digital content it seems to me that its purpose is mutilated.”

Asked if “he received many insults,” Renato Godinho made it clear that he was never the target of negative comments and that this was not the reason for his position.
