More than 200 concerts and shows, distributed on seven stages and more than 600 different exhibitors, among other spaces, give shape to the 34th edition of Expofacic – Cantanhede Agricultural, Commercial and Industrial Fair, which begins today.

Considered the largest ‘party’ in the country, Expofacic also offers visitors around 50 restaurants and snacks, 12 ‘street food’ spaces and 25 regional products, as well as agricultural shows, automobiles, national and international crafts, among others, over 11 days, until August 9, organization data.
In the presentation of the event, the president of the district of Coimbra, Helena Theodosio, classified Expofacic as “a powerful instrument of territorial promotion, economic dynamism and affirmation of the identity of the municipality of Cantanhede”.
On the other hand, the animation poster “again was thought to meet the expectations of different generations”.
The mayor also noted that this year’s edition “bets on the qualification of the different valences, improving the reception conditions of visitors and modernising infrastructure”, and intends to implement solutions that promote “more comfortable, safe and sustainable experiences”.
This year, the fair will distinguish the tasting of the event with the most elaborate, careful, harmonious and identity decoration, announced the municipality.
The initiative, which has a monetary prize of 750 euros for the first class, covers all the councils to whom the 50 clubs were delivered, to “recognize and value the associations’ commitment to creating spaces that dignify the identity of the parishes” from where they come from.
The musical poster of the main stage, one of Expofacic's attraction poles, presents Barbara Tinoco and Neighbors on opening night. On Friday, it will be the turn of Sara Correia and Nininho Vaz Maia, on Saturday the project Leave the Pimba in Peace and World Second and Slow J and, on Sunday, José Cid and Hybrid Theory.
Next week, the concert list includes, among others, names such as Delfins, João Pedro Pais, Diogo Piçarra, Xutos & Pontapés, Calema or Maiara & Maraisa.
The official opening of Expofacic takes place today, starting at 18:00, in the Expo-Sports Park of São Mateus, in the center of Cantanhede, with the presence of the Secretary of State for Local Administration and Regional Planning, Silvério Regalado.
