Talways doubts about the best product for the face, because you do not know identify your skin type? From now on, no more doubts!

There's one test you can do at home to understand what your skin is, but attention, cannot have “interference of cosmetic products”.

Anne Arundel, on her blog, Anne Arundel Dermatology, manages some characteristics of each skin type. Make a note and confirm if it matches at the end of the test:

Dry skin: Sensation of repulsive skin and may also show desquamation or itching.

Oily skin: It can be identified by a brilliant appearance. Generally, even more prone to skin rashes and acne.

Mixed skin: A combination of dry and oily skin. In many cases, mixed skin has dry areas on the cheeks, with oily forehead and nose.

Clean face test

For this method, the expert suggests washing the face with a soft soap and not applying absolutely any product. After 30 minutes, pay close attention to the skin. If she is repulsed by making facial expressions, she is quite likely to have dry skin. On the other hand, if the skin is shiny all over the face, it probably has oily skin.

On the other hand, if you feel some parts of your face dry and other oily, it can be concluded that your skin is mixed.

Test of oily absorbent handkerchiefs

As you can tell by the name, you'll need tissues.

To test the skin type, rub an absorbent handkerchief on your face and then hold it against the light. “If the paper is covered in oil, you can conclude that your skin is oily and vice versa for dry skin. This test may be a little more difficult to determine mixed skin types. However, a good alternative would be to use an absorbent handkerchief for the cheeks and one for the forehead and nose.”

Look out! “The scaling means that there was damage to the skin cells”
