Ford's new European vice president for sales comes from BYD. It is Maria Graza Davino, whose hiring was announced this Wednesday (July 29). You'll start working on October 1st.

This hiring happens at a time of strengthening the leadership team for Europe – where the american manufacturer wants to grow in the coming years, predicting the launch of five new models by 2029. Including a Renault platform and in partnership with Geely.

Maria Graza Davino has over two decades of professional experience in the automotive sector. Since December 2024 she has been regional director of BYD Europe, working with several countries.

Previously, there was a long passage through Stellantis (entered the Fiat Group in 2011, passed to Fiat Chrysler in 2014, before Stellantis was created in 2021). He also integrated Lamborghini's paintings.

Jim Baumbick, President of Ford Europe, said in a statement: “Maria Graza is a highly competent leader with deep experience in the European automotive industry. Her record of building high-performance teams and building strong relationships with customers and dealers will be valuable as we continue to grow our business in Europe.”.

On LinkedIn, Maria Graza Davino spoke about this new professional stage, leaving behind a course in BYD “rich in experience and, above all, in tangible results”. He thanked the leaders of the Chinese manufacturer and was “anxious to enter this new challenge with shared ambition, determination and hard work”.
