There are new statements you can get on the Social Security app

A from now on, occupational disease (and not only) declarations can already be obtained online, through the application of social security, announced the Institute of Social Security (ISS), in notified. 

“Social Security has extended the set of official statements available for direct broadcasting through the Social Security App,” you can read. 

It means that, “from now on, citizens can obtain new statements on their smartphone, without needing to access the computer version of the Portal or to move to service services“.

This update, the body explains, “strengthens the dematerialization of processes and ensures faster, more convenient and immediate access to their official documents anywhere”.

After all, what are the new statements available in the Social Security app?

According to the public body, through mobile application, it is possible to simply download the following evidence:

• Certificated Professional Disease: official declaration proving recognition and certification of occupational disease;
• Income from Pensions for Certified Disease: evidence of discrimination against the annual or monthly amounts earned in the context of occupational sickness pensions;
• Death Pension Income: Detailed statement of amounts received for survivors' pensions and death support.

How to access documents in the application?

According to Social Security, to obtain any of these statements instantly, open the Social Security App on your phone and access the Statements Menu > Consult and obtain statements.

“ More ease of use, elimination of the role and total autonomy in the management of their official proofs with Social Security ", the body says. 

Professional disease certified? You can ask for reimbursement of expenses online

If you have a professional illness certified by Social Security and have borne health care or treatment expenses, know that you can already request reimbursement through the Social Security portal, the Government announced, through a shared publication on social networks. 

In question are the Species Benefits, which “cover expenses such as medical and drug care, complementary diagnostic tests, treatments, prostheses and orthothesis, as well as travel necessary for diagnosis or treatment,” the Executive explains.

Now, the novelty is that the order can be made online, “quickly, without the need to travel to a Service”.

“ As Species benefits correspond to the reimbursement of health care and treatment expenses, made by people with occupational diseases certified by Social Security based on a clinical evaluation”, can be read in the note published on the Social Security website.

These care, he explains, “are intended to help the person recover health and work ability and include, among others: medical and drug assistance, complementary diagnostic tests, treatments, prostheses and orthothesis and displacements for diagnosis or treatment”.

Now, “the beneficiaries of the General Social Security Regime with certified occupational disease can already ask for reimbursement of these expenses through the Social Security Portal, quickly, simply and comfortably, without the need to travel to a Service”.
