Scan you recognize the signs of hypertension? A doctor revealed that there are some early symptoms that often go unnoticed and are ignored. Meet them so you can quickly treat this silent killer.

In his account of TikTok, the doctor who calls himself Anpdamo, revealed some of the symptoms to which he should be attentive and may be signs of hypertension. Identifying them may not reveal that you have this condition, but it should be an alert to take into account.

Hypertension: Early signs

Here quoted by Mirror, doctor Anpdamo stated that one of the first symptoms that should alarm him is the headache as soon as you wake up. “It’s not all a headache, but those persistent headaches when waking up can be a warning signal that should not be ignored.”

On the other hand, be careful if you are blurred vision or bright spots in the vision. “The eyes have tiny blood vessels that are very sensitive to these pressure changes.” Nor should you ignore the fact that you are short of breath. “Something as simple as climbing stairs can be enough to leave you breathless more than normal.”

AND blood on the nose? ? Sometimes you ignore it, but it's something that needs to be marked. “Isolated nosebleeds are usually nothing serious, but frequent or intense nosebleeds, combined with any of the other symptoms already mentioned, should not be ignored,” the expert continues.

Finally, it refers to another symptom that is often ignored by most people. “It often goes unnoticed as it is not something physically wrong. Patients often talk about a feeling they cannot explain, which is the anxiety or restlessness.”

You have high blood pressure? That's the only thing you should avoid once you wake up

Tariqshah Syed is a cardiologist and Parade magazine spoke about this topic. “If you have been diagnosed with hypertension, you probably already know all the changes in your lifestyle. But did you know that there is something you should avoid doing right away when you wake up?", starts by explaining.

Therefore, if you have high blood pressure, you should not get up and take it easy, especially if you are taking medication. “Instead, get up gradually, sitting on the tip of the bed for one or two minutes first, to avoid dizziness, vertigo or even fainting”, he advises.

The expert also says that “these symptoms are caused by a temporary fall in blood pressure where there is less blood that is returning to the heart”.

“ Blood pressure increases when waking up due to circadian rhythms, increased sympathetic activity and hormonal changes. This natural increase in blood pressure in the morning can amplify cardiovascular stress, potentially increasing the risk of cardiac overload, arrhythmias or other events.” Thus, it is important to avoid getting out of bed quickly and getting up gradually.

The specialist also recommends hydrate, take all the medication and, after 30 or 60 minutes, proceed with lighter movements and stretching. It is at the end of the day that you must make more vigorous movements.
