Uthe communication agency linked to the Huthis rebels of Yemen said today that Saudi Arabia has reached the port of Hodeida, a strategic infrastructure under the control of these fighters in the west of the country.
“The Saudi enemy launched two air raids on the port of Ras Issa,” in Hodeida, reported the Huthi Al-Masirah television channel, adding that Saudi Arabia was targeting “the pier and a merchant ship that was there.”.
Hodeida is home to the largest seaport under the control of the Huthis and is a key entry point for the delivery of food and humanitarian aid to the areas dominated by the rebels.
The port of Ras Issa, located north of the city, is also used for the import and storage of oil.
Started in 2014, the conflict in Yemen between the Huthis and the government forces supported by Riyadh was resumed in July, after a four-year break, opening a new front in the regional war.
