Yashar!

O party of the Israeli opposition Yashar!, favorite in the polls of intent to vote in the elections taking place today in Israel, denounced a “deliberate manipulation” of the voting papers and will submit a formal complaint to the Electoral Commission.

“ In the last few hours, reports were received about the deliberate manipulation, theft, reversal and withdrawal of voting papers from Yashar! in places of vote throughout the country,” the party said.

To Yashar! this is a “severe violation” of the integrity of elections and free vote.

The party, led by Gadi Eisenkot, candidate leading the opposition, also indicated having received information on “extremely long” queues in voting places where support for Yashar is concentrated!, raising the suspicion that the situation has been “intentionally orchestrated”.

The political formation of the opposition has asked citizens to report any unusual incident by asking voters to keep themselves “patiently” in line with the voting assemblies.

“We will not allow anyone to jeopardize the change we seek,” the party added.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Central Election Commission (CEC) has reacted, ruling out any irregularities.

“ Contrary to what the information that is circulating suggests, there is currently no evidence or evidence that points to irregularities in the context of the elections”, the committee said in a statement stating that cases are being examined one by one in a “immediate” way.

More than 7.3 million Israelis are called to the polls today to elect the 120 members of the Knesset (Parliament).

Voting assemblies close at 10 p.m. (20 a.m. in Lisbon), when television stations are expected to release the first polls at the polls.

According to the polls conducted during the election campaign, the victory — by a short, narrow one — can be achieved by Gadi Eisenkot.
