O Israeli army today claimed the elimination of several “terrorists” in the Gaza Strip, where the Palestinian authorities, controlled by the Hamas Islamist movement, reported five deaths.
The spokesman for Civil Protection in the areas controlled by Hamas told AFP that four people were killed and several others were injured, some in serious condition, in a drone attack in Rafah (south).
A local hospital confirmed receiving three bodies and 15 wounded.
According to Civil Protection, another person was killed in an attack on Khan Yunis (south).
Consulted by the AFP, the Israeli army claimed to have “sold terrorists,” adding that more information would be released later.
On Monday, the Israeli Army claimed the elimination of “four terrorists” — two other Hamas from Islamic Jihad — in weekend bombings in Gaza, despite the ceasefire in force.
The unprecedented attack by Hamas in 2023 on Israeli territory, involving thousands of operatives and a missile dam, resulted in the death of 1,221 people, according to an AFP investigation.
The offensive launched by Israel in Gaza, as reprisal, made more than 74,400 deaths, according to the Hamas-controlled Ministry of Health, which does not distinguish between civilian victims and combatants.
