A jessica Antunes' week began with very sad news. Her grandmother died, the only one who was still alive, Maria Antunes, as she reported this Tuesday, July 7th.
The news was highlighted on the Instagram page of the former “Big Brother – The Revolution” contestant, where he left an emotional message to talk about this great loss.
“Today [July 7] heaven has my four grandparents. I was lucky enough to meet them all and even share much of my life with them as well. When each one left, he took a little of me and left everything that was in my memory and in my heart. They were all very different but all of them had in common the love for the family, the desire to see us united always, from generation to generation”, began by writing.
“ They all came from very humble families. Almost nothing. They built their lives at the expense of much sacrifice, of working days that began before sunrise and that were only almost done by the time they started again. They could do anything. They had no money, but they wanted to win. In the midst of all the difficulties, they had children. Incredible children: my parents and uncles”, he recalled.
“ During the time I had them, I listened very carefully to every story they told me, which represented every wrinkle, every callus, every tear but also every joy they carried,” he added.
“ Today is a very painful day for us. Not just because we just lost our grandmother, but because she was the last grandmother we had. It's the end of a generation in our family. A closure that's only physical but still hard. With us are memories, love, the joy of happy days, family life, clowning at the table, the pride of being – and we will always be – a united family. Until one day, Grandma. Take care of us”, he wrote, finally.
To his words he gathered some images to honor the grandparents.
Jessica Antunes, remember, met her now husband, Rui Pedro Figueiredo, when she participated in the “Big Brother”. The relationship began within the country's most guarded house and kept out of the chambers.
In fact, the couple tied the knot last year and together have two children in common, Isaac, who was born in January 2022, and Benedicta, whom they welcomed in February 2024.
