O luciano Spalletti's immediate future is one of the themes of the moment, in Italy, due to a start of the 2026/27 sports season below the expectations of Juventus, which has resulted in a record of five wins, two draws and other defeats after nine official games in all competitions.

According to the Tuesday edition of the newspaper La Repubblica, for now, the intention of the director bianconera goes by maintaining confidence in the coach of 67 years old, with which renewed contract, a few months ago, until June 2028. However, the crisis of sports results has already led to the outline of an emergency plan.

In this sense, adds the same publication, there are already two names on the table. It's them Francesco Farioli and Simone Inzaghi, names that have been followed more attentively by the structure of Vecchia Signora, with a view to a possible attack next summer.

Francesco Farioli, remember, extended the link with FC Porto last January, until June 2028, at a time when he was already being pointed at some of the biggest European football clubs, including Chelsea (who would eventually be betting on Xabi Alonso in the face of Liam Rosenior).

Simone Inzaghi, for her part, left Internazionale to Al Hilal just over a year ago, committing to the formation of Saudi Arabia until the end of this period, which means that, at least in theory, it would be a target of easier achievement for the historic transalpine formation.

Antonio Conte, who left the helm of Napoli at the end of the last campaign, is free and has been ‘asked’ with particular insistence by the fans, even because he knows the club well, having guided him, between 2011 and 2014. However, at least for now it is viewed as a remote option.

After all, how bad is the Juventus situation?

The tone of contestation around Luciano Spalletti went up in tone, particularly since last weekend, during the heavy defeat suffered at the reception to Lazio, by 0-3, in which the Portuguese international Nuno Tavares was in evidence, with assistance for the goal of Gustav Isaksen.

A result that ‘shot’ for the team of Francisco Conceição and company to the eighth place of Serie A, with 11 points won after seven days, less eight than the duo of leaders composed by Internazionale and Lazio, and less two than the Frosinone, which occupies the sixth position, the last of access to international competitions.

Much less delicate is the situation of Vecchia Signora in the Europe League, after the triumphs over NEC (by 5-0) and Celta de Vigo (by 1-2), which earned her six points and one place in the lot of league phase leaders, along with Bayer Leverkusen, Benfica, Besiktas, Bournemouth, Omonia, Ferencvaros, Olympique Lyon, Sunderland and Olympiacos.
