Lionel Richie canceled two shows after finishing his last concert earlier than he was supposed to because he felt bad.
On Thursday, June 25th, Live Nation Chicago confirmed in an Instagram publication that the 77-year-old singer postponed the next two shows of the "Sing A Song All Night Long" tour, more precisely the concerts he was going to perform in Chicago and Columbus, Ohio. It would happen this Friday, June 26th, and Saturday, 27th, respectively.
The artist was advised by the doctors to “rest and recover completely” before returning to the stage, as they explain in the same note.
Thus, “the singer and the band Earth, Wind & Fire will return to the stage on Tuesday, June 30, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.”
“ Lionel is heartbroken because he has to postpone these two concerts and can’t wait to replay for his fans. We apologize for any inconvenience caused to fans who had already bought tickets to these two concerts. The new dates will be announced soon”, they concluded.
Lionel Richie, to remember, was singing Dancing on the Ceiling at the Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul, Minnesota, when he sat on a platform at the concert he performed on June 24. That day I told the audience that I was feeling dizzy and that I'd never sung this song before.
Then he also reports to the international press, took a forced break and ended up having to finish the shows, before expected.
The artist was seen by paramedics behind the scenes and later taken to a hospital, but only as a precaution.
