A afonso Leitão's mother, Rita Leitão, went to the Rock in Rio festival last Sunday, June 21, to attend the Linkin Park concert, but the day did not go as planned.
“There are nights that remain in memory... but not always for the reason we planned”, he started by writing in a publication he made on his Instagram page early on Friday, June 26.
“The day of the Linkin Park in Rock in Rio was a very longed-for day some months ago. We're festival people. But this day where it was supposed to sing, dance and live the moment, ended up hearing the fireworks and the concert ... inside a medical container ", he said.
“ I confess: I still hesitated to seek help. In my head, those medical posts were more like “the excesses of festivals” and I thought that maybe they thought it was ridiculous to see me enter with a “simple” acute abdominal pain. After all what is this close to an alcoholic coma or similar one”, he added.
“ I'm glad my brother insisted that you go there and ask for help. And there I went almost to my husband's lap to the bin at Lusíadas Saúde. The medical team in the room realized that something was not well, and with incredible sympathy and confessing even unexpected, took care of me and forwarded me to the emergency room of a hospital ", revealed later.
“ Here we decided to go to the SAMS Hospital where I found a doctor (boring) who for about six hours (where I must have pleaded some plagues for being in suffering and this to cloud my discernment) did not give up looking for the cause of a pain that did not pass, even with medication ", reported.
“The insistence, care and the right decision at the right time made all the difference. I was intervened urgently and what could have had a fatal outcome. ended up going well and here, after five days, telling the story ", said later.
“ This publication is a huge thank you to these professionals, whose names I regret not having taken note of. But it is also an alert: do not ignore the signs of the body. Even in a festival, even in the middle of the party, even though you think it is “nothing” ... seek help. Sometimes the courage is not to continue the party.
