Melanie Chisholm, better known as Mel C, married the Australian model Chris Dingwall. The ceremony took place in England on Saturday, July 18, Vogue informed.

For this special day, the singer chose a wedding dress made by her friend and also ex-Spice Girl Victoria Beckham.

It is also known that Mel C and Chris Dingwall had previously married for the civilian, in Australia, the bridegroom's homeland.

In conversation with Vogue, the artist confessed that she did not grow up dreaming about the day she would go up to the altar, “no way”. Despite “loving weddings and always having a lot of fun when you go to other people’s weddings,” it was never that girl who dreamed of her wedding dress.

“ I have always been focused on my career – I think that the relationship even ended up in the background, because I have always been very determined to do what I love, which is acting.”

And I thought it would never end, this until now her husband, Chris Dingwall. “It was an immediate connection,” he recalled when he spoke of the moment he met Chris Dingwall.

The couple, of course, met on a dating app and met for the first time in November 2023. The singer is already the mother of a girl, Scarlet Starr, who was born on February 22, 2009, the result of her old relationship with Thomas Starr.

“ I was 49 when I met Chris and I was in a great place in my life. We are in Australia and since then it has been difficult to separate,” he said, saying that the companion has a “very reassuring energy” and that he has changed his life for the better, and his daughter too.

But even after meeting her now husband, the idea of getting married wasn't immediate for Mel C. However, Chris Dingwall surprised the singer with a proposal during a vacation in Mallorca last July, and the answer was “yes”.

They then began to prepare the ceremony, which took place on the property of a friend in Cumbria this summer, after having knotted the civilian in Australia. And it fulfilled the tradition of borrowing something on the wedding day.

Victoria Beckham was talking to a friend when Mel C told her she was going to Australia in two days to get married. “When I asked her what she was going to wear, she said she had ordered some of my dresses but that they did not serve her and that she had no time to adjust them. As a matter of fact, I had exactly that dress in my wardrobe and made myself available to lend it,” Victoria Beckham said.

Then, when Victoria Beckham learned that a larger celebration was being planned in the UK, “obviously she offered to make Mel C’s dream dress.”.
