Dafter a lot of patience and expectations from fans, “Ted Lasso” is back on Apple TV with season four – which arrives more than three years after the third season has been completed.
At the moment only two episodes have been released, but it seems that Apple is satisfied with the performance of the first episode of the season. According to information shared by Deadline, the fourth season of "Ted Lasso" had the best debut ever of a series on Apple TV.
“ The fourth season brought together 296.6 million minutes seen in the USA in the window between August 4 and 5, according to Nielsen data provided by Apple on Thursday,” says the publication. “Only on August 5th, the season premiere was the most viewed program in the United States with over 200 million minutes viewed. According to Apple, this marks the biggest release ever for Apple TV.”.
Success is not exactly a surprise, especially when it comes to “Ted Lasso”. It is worth remembering that the first season was released on the first time Apple TV was released and the series was quickly considered one of the great exclusives of the streaming service.
In 2023, the third season was the most viewed original series of all streaming services that year and, although at the time it seemed that the series had come to an end, we now have season four to prove that “Ted Lasso” continues to justify Apple’s bet.
Given this success, we may have a few more seasons in the future.
