The MotoGP World Championship is approaching summer vacation. But before that, there is still the German GP, which is held this weekend (10-12 July) in Sachsenring – a favorite circuit of Marc Márquez.

Abefore entering the usual summer break, the MotoGP World Championship arrives this weekend (10-12 July) to Sachsenring for the Germany’s GP. It's the 11th round of the season, which is exactly halfway through.
Fertile land for Marc Márquez
Speaking of Sachsenring, it is impossible not to consider Marc Márquez as a great candidate for triumph. The title champion of the Ducati, currently the fifth in the championship, has nine victories at MotoGP (including last year) and three other in the youth categories.
The counter-clockwise direction usually favors the piloting of Marc Márquez, who will seek to avail himself of it in search of the third triumph of the year. You're 40 points away from the championship lead, so the title remains possible.
Aprilia to dominate
Having said this, aprilia remains the strongest manufacturer in 2026. Jorge Martín is in charge with seven more points than Marco Bezzecchi – who is in a sequence of three main races followed without any point and down the second.
The third is Fabio Di Giannantonio (VR46/Ducati), which has been consistent as shown by the three top five in the last four races. And in fourth, there is the amazing Ai Ogura (Trackhouse/Aprilia) – who in the previous round debuted to win.
As usual, there are several other potential candidates for triumphs, such as Pedro Acosta (KTM), Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati), Vice-Champion Álex Márquez (Gresini/Ducarti) or Raúl Fernández (Trackhouse/Aprilia) – second ranked in the Netherlands less than two weeks ago.
Portuguese on track
The German GP MotoGP programme includes the Rookies Cup – monomarca competition in which is Portuguese Afonso Almeida. Since the first race of the year it does not score, being in penultimate place of the championship with two points.
Now, you will have two more chances of returning to the pointable results, when the season enters its final phase – after Sachsenring, two steps will be missing. The lead is Beñat Fernández, with 42 more points than Ryota Ogiwara.
