Prats made from fish from the river are the highlight of the festival of Pisca do Rio, there it is, which starts on Friday. There will also be a musical program with local artists will animate this parish of Proença-a-Nova, in Castelo Branco district.
“São Pedro do Esteval stands out again as the stage of a event that has its protagonist in Pisca do Rio, promoting a product deeply linked to history, traditions and local identity“, explained the City Hall of Proença-a-Nova.

This event celebrates one of the most identity products of that parish and the municipality of Proença-a-Nova, combining gastronomy, culture and animation in an event that promotes some of the most valuable endogenous resources and that boosts the territory.
“More than a gastronomic event, the Rio Fish Festival represents a development engine of the parish, enhancing the economic activity of local associations, tourism and the promotion of the parish”.
The programming integrates animation moments for all ages. On Friday, the musician Rui Alves comes up to the stage at 10:00 p.m. and, an hour later, it will be Band 7th Art to perform.
On Saturday, the program includes the performance of Bombos of the Juveferro Association, a gastronomic moment “Live Cook” with Vítor and Nuno Sabino (16:00), the concert of Micaela, at 22:30, and, closing the night, from 23:30, the dance with the Musical Band Remix.
