New Chinese electric crossover arrives in Portugal next month. Prices

Hit's a new chinese electric crossover about to reach the roads in Portugal. The Leapmotor B03X it can be ordered since july, but only in october will it be available in dealers.

The model has two versions. In Pro, the engine debits 176 hp and the 39.8 kWh battery inserted directly into the structure gives up to 292 km of autonomy (WLTP) The ProMax proposes 197 hp power and autonomy up to 382 km thanks to a 53 kWh battery. The torque is always 200 Nm, like the maximum speed of 100 km/h. Charging from 30 to 80 percent can be done in 16 minutes.

The Leapmotor bets on a compact city SUV, which is 4.270 mm long, 1.810 mm wide and 1,635 mm high. The wheelbase reaches 2,605 millimeters, while the turning diameter of ten meters is adapted to urban use.

The front comes with a bar of LED lights that aims to pass the idea of a smile, being the same facial expression to serve as inspiration for the rear optics. Laterally, we see built-in door handles and a floating roof.

There are six exterior colors: blue Berry Blue, beige Lime Beige, brown Acorn Brown, grey Tundra Crey, silvery Galaxy Silver and green Seaweed Green.

Inside, the flat floor stands out in an SUV with flexible rear seats and minimalist design. The driver accesses an 8.8-inch instrument panel, while at the centre there is a 14.6-inch floating touch screen for infoentertainment. The central console integrates a place to place smartphones and cup holders. Leapmotor provided the B03X operating system Leap OS 4.0 Plus.

The occupants of the back seats enjoy almost one meter of leg space (947 mm). The trunk capacity is 510 liters (there is a new box, waterproof and washable compartment of 105 liters under the floor of the trunk). If we need to expand the area, we reach 1,605 liters if the rear seats are fully hit.

You can connect smartphones to the system via Android Auto and Apple Car (wireless), remotely access various features and enjoy 21 (serial) driver assistance systems. There are 14 sensors and cameras that support its operation.

The cabin can assume a decoration in black Currant Black or in light grey Oat Grey – in both cases the upholstery material is Eco skin.

Equipment levels

In Leapmotor B03X, there are two levels of equipment. It all starts with Life, associated with the 39.8 kWh battery. Among other features, it has 18-inch light alloy rims and six speakers, ecological leather steering wheel, roof bars, LED headlights and automatic air conditioning, among others.

At the top of the range is the design, unique to the 53 kWh battery, with 360o cameras, front parking sensors, 12 speaker sound system and ambient lighting. It also proposes electrically adjustable driver seat, front seats and heated steering wheel and automatically rebeatable rear-view mirror.

These are the prices

At its launch, the new Leapmotor B03X is available from EUR 22,345, but the normal price can reach 28,285 euro base. O model starts reaching dealers in october.
