O Paris Motor Show in October will serve as the stage for the Peugeot reveal two new concept cars that will indict course that the french brand will move on to the future.

This week, executive director Alain Favey, quoted by the British publication Autocar, revealed: “They will show much about the future of the Peugeot brand“.

Without going into details, he clarified that the story remains important, giving “ideas for the future”. In other words, one can expect the concept to be inspired in the past, something that is far from unheard of for Peugeot.

With a view to reaching 1.5 million annual sales by 2030, in the next four years, seven new models will be launched: the second generation of e-208 arrives this year, and the new 308, as well as three models of segment C and two of segment D (reserved for China in partnership with Dongfeng).

If the conceptual models that will be presented in Paris next October refer to some of these cars, it is not known – even because it is not always conceptual cars that anticipate proposals for future production.

It is also certain that peugeot will not launch the new generation of e-208 at the Paris Hall: although it arrives in the second semester, it will have its own event. Remember that in June, the e-208 GTi was officially introduced, which became the first electric GTi in its history.

The basis of the new generation of e-208 is Polygon. Presented at the end of last year, it demonstrates some solutions that will be applied to the compact hatchback, such as the Hypersquare steering wheel and the stereo-by-wire electronic steering wheel that makes the mechanical connection between steering wheel and wheels disappear. The concept also incorporates a new i-Cockpit, with projection of the information on the windshield.

Special edition for 5 models celebrates 100 years of Peugeot in Le Mans

Peugeot and the 24 Hours of Le Mans announced a collaboration, which results in a special edition Peugeot 24 Hours of Le Mans for five French brand models – the 208, 308, 408, 3008 and 5008. But they're still far from the market.
