A Apple has already launched on the market iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max and, with iPhone Duo arriving this October, Apple's usual customers may have already wondered if the company has plans to launch a standard iPhone 18 model.
Doubt is legitimate and arises from what has been the strategy adopted by Apple in recent years since, whenever a new generation of branded mobile phones is launched, we are entitled to a standard model, to two Pro models and (usually) a model that, in previous years, gave by the name of Mini, Plus and also Air.
Well, that's not what happened this year since, in September, Apple announced only the two models. Pro of the iPhone 18 series and many followers of Cupertino technology may have wondered about the company's plans to launch new models.
It turns out, as the rumors that have been circulating over the past few months pointed out, Apple does have intentions of launching an iPhone 18. This model is expected to be officially launched during the spring of 2027 and, to support this possibility, we have a publication on the Chinese social network Weibo pointing out the beginning of iPhone 18 production for November.
The person responsible for sharing the information suggests that Apple plans to have a substantial amount of iPhone 18 drives on launch. Rumor has it that the arrival at the stores may take place in March and that the phone may be equipped with a 6.3-inch screen and an A20 processor.
There are also rumors that the iPhone 18 will be announced accompanied by (more accessible) iPhone 18e and also by a new generation of iPhone Air.
What to expect from the new iPhone Air?
Many Apple fans expected a new generation of iPhone Air released last year to be announced this year but, unfortunately, the company did not reveal a new ultra-fine mobile model.
However, this does not mean that Apple has no intention of launching an iPhone Air 2. In recent months there have been no shortage of rumors that the Apple Company had intentions to launch an iPhone Air successor and now a known Korean leader – known as yeux1122 – shared on the platform Navigate new rumors that are circulating over the new device.
According to this information, Apple has plans to make iPhone Air 2 even thinner than its predecessor. Although the original iPhone Air was only 5.6mm thick – less than the Galaxy S25 5.8mm Edge of rival Samsung – Apple seems to want iPhone Air 2 to be only 5.2mm.
As a general rule, launching such a thin cell phone would mean that the battery would be the main damage but, apparently, that will not happen. The same leader notes that Apple intends to equip iPhone Air 2 with a high-density battery and that it will allow the mobile phone to have greater autonomy.
Allegedly, this battery could have a higher autonomy than the original iPhone Air, which had a capacity of 3,149mAh and was one of the most criticized elements of this phone when it was released on the market.
In addition to responding to this criticism, it seems that Apple also intends to respond to another dissatisfaction of users of the first iPhone Air. This model was equipped with a single sensor camera, but the available information notes that the second generation will have a double camera: which will have the same 48MP main sensor and an ultra wide angular sensor also with 48MP.
Apple remains silent about iPhone Air 2 and has not shared any information about your plans for the second generation of your ultra-fine phone. These new developments also belong to the domain of rumors and, as such, future developments may result in changes to Apple's plans.
It is not yet clear when Cupertino's technology should present the iPhone Air 2 but, trusting the rumors that have been circulating, the launch should take place somewhere during the spring of 2027.
