O video, revealed by the newspaper Midi Libre and widely released today by other media and social networks, is a five-minute excerpt from an involuntary recording of about six hours made by the agent's own patrol body in November 2025.
The images capture the performance of a team of four agents and, of these, the chief of patrol is the author of most hate comments, although some of his colleagues also offer similar opinions, especially racists.
The video shows, among other things, how agents usually used derogatory terms such as “moritos”, how they compared migrants to animals or how they talked about “put Macron and all gays on the berlinda”, in a reference to the French president, Emmanuel Macron.
Women speak in conversations using derogatory terms such as “cabronas” and also support conspiracy theories such as that which the First Lady, Brigitte Macron, is actually a trans person.
The prosecution opened an investigation into the recording, according to Midi Libre.

According to this media outlet, the images circulated in the Carcassona police station in southern France since the end of 2025, and this had led the chief of police to file a complaint for violation of his privacy.
For his part, the Minister of the Interior of France, Laurent Nuñez, announced that he asked the general inspection of the administration to carry out an inspection of the municipal police of Carcassona.
Today, the public disclosure of the images motivated many political reactions, including the party of the leader of the far right Le Pen, favorite in the polls for the presidential elections of 2027, which condemned the incidents and announced the exclusion of the party's patrol chief, as well as his expulsion as a voluntary member of his security service.
“Rassemblement National strongly condemns these criminally punishable statements that go against the values our movement defends,” said the bloc in a statement.
After the announcement of this message, the president of the locality of Carcassona, Christophe Barthès (A.N.), also addressed the press to ensure that “sanctions will be taken in line with the seriousness of the facts”, ensuring that all those involved were suspended and considering that the comments are “to vomit”.
The first edil pointed the responsibility to the previous municipal team of the UDF (center right), since, although the main involved in the police video was affiliated with his party, the bloc only ruled in Carcassona after the victory in the municipal last March.
Previously, in a press release issued this morning, the City Council had alleged that the recordings came from a stolen camera and that this created doubts about its recovery.
The Deputy Minister for Equality, Aurore Bergé, qualified the comments as “absolutely unacceptable” and said today, in statements to the RMC radio, that they constitute a crime.
On the other hand, Carole Delga, socialist president of the region of Occitania, where Carcassona is located, said she felt “shame” and asked for sanctions, because wearing uniform is “serving the Republic, not soiling it”.
“This is how a France ruled by the RN would be. Uninhibited and fostered hatred, even where justice and security are expected,” said former Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, one of the centrist candidates to succeed Macron in the Elisha in 2027.
