O Portugal Fashion Experiente 2026, promoted by the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE), wants to transform Porto, Ílhavo and Matosinhos, for four days, into a “map of creation, industry, innovation and lifestyle”, bringing together fashion designers, young talent, buyers, industry, fashion and textile and footwear specialists and national and international guests”, reads in a press release sent to the media.
The program starts on July 1 with an industrial and strategic dimension. The morning will be dedicated to an industrial tour in Paços de Ferreira, with passage through reference units and moments of direct contact with the productive fabric.
On July 2, Portugal Fashion Experience travels to Ílhavo and Matosinhos, with a program that will cross fashion, heritage and lifestyle, with moments associated with the designers David Catalan and Maria Gambina.
In Matosinhos, the Ancient Conservas Vasco da Gama Factory receives a program dedicated to the young ‘designers’ emerging on the BLOOM Contest 2026 platform, powered by Salsa Jeans, and presentations by creators linked to the new generation of Portuguese fashion. The day ends with the parade of the Portuguese duo Marques’Almeida.
On July 3rd and 4th, the calendar returns to Porto, M-ODU: Slaughterhouse, with parades and presentations on the main platform, integrating renowned names of Portuguese fashion, emerging brands, projects of Portugal Fashion Incubator, new entries in the calendar and Portuguese Shoes, a presentation dedicated to Portuguese footwear.
Among the highlights of this edition are De Pino, Portuguese designer based in Paris who debuts at Portugal Fashion, Maltez, author brand founded by Joana Maltez, and A-LINE, Portuguese brand with artistic and creative direction of Diogo Miranda, creator who regularly presented his collections at Portugal Fashion with its own brand.
These names join Lead Foot, Ernest W. Baker, Nopin, Miguel Vieira, AHCOR, Judy Sanderson, Veehana, Re(Veste), Susana Bettencourt, Estelita Mendonça, Hugo Costa, Davii and Lo Siento, among other projects and presentations
In 2025, Portugal Fashion marked its 30th anniversary with the launch of Portugal Fashion Experience, a new format that now returns this summer of 2026 to assert itself as a fashion disclosure platform, but also to encourage networks of contacts and develop business among professionals in the sector, as well as to show what is being produced in fashion again in Portugal.
“The Portugal Fashion Experience wants to show a country that thinks fashion, creates fashion, transforms fashion and exports vision. Our ambition is that this edition be more than a parade calendar: we want to affirm an ecosystem, connect talent to industry, as well as industry to innovation, territory to culture, and Portugal to the world,” explains Mónica Neto, director of Portugal Fashion, quoted in the statement.
The program of four of them expands in the territory of “technology, sustainability, critical thinking, gastronomy, hospitality, tourism and culture”.
This edition has the motto “Fashion, Lifestyle & Innovation” and is built in rhythm “‘slow (slow), where each moment seeks to have context, intention and narrative”.
The parades and presentations cross with visits to factories and workshops, strategic conversations, professional moments of networking and experiences in cultural and urban spaces.
The objective of the event is to strengthen “Portugal as a creative, industrial and ‘lifestyle’ destination, projecting an image of the country that goes beyond the productive tradition and assumes creativity, ‘design’, innovation and know-how as assets of international differentiation,” the organization adds.
