Without leaving behind successful cars, Renault also wants to have absolute news on the market in the coming years – although it does not give details about what might be on the rail.

News to Minutes
Nthe next few years, there may be significant news in Renault – which you want to add new models to your range, without giving up iconic proposals and/or with signed credits.
Director Fabrice Cambodia said to the British publication Autocar: “Our first goal now is to introduce into the market some purely new models, because we do not have to rely on the past with R5 and Clio”.
The leader idealizes a balanced product portfolio: “You should have a third of iconic cars, […], one third of saga cars which are not icons for people [...]; after that you have to let your designers propose something purely new. You die if you only live in the past“.
According to the same publication, Renault's director did not go into detail, but also does not think there is room to add models to the range currently on the market.
After the success of the three electric neoclassics launched since 2024 (Renault 4 E-Tech, 5 E-Tech and Twingo E-Tech), the Gaulese manufacturer is aware that we must be cautious in this approach, since without a purpose this kind of proposals “will fail”, said Fabrice Cambodia.
On the other hand, there was the renovation of classics like Clio, which last year entered its sixth generation. In 2023 it introduced the sixth generation of Space – renewed, however, in 2025. Another classic model is Mégane, which has been in the range for over 30 years. However, it is still modernized: it already has an electrical variant, with aesthetics and dimensions of a small crossover.
The latest absolute novelties in the range
Putting aside the already mentioned neoclassics, who reinterpret models of other decades, Renault's latest absolute novelty is Symbioz – a C-SUV introduced in 2022. At the beginning of the year, the Filante was announced – an unprecedented crossover that first entered South Korea and will also reach South America and the Gulf.
Renault’s “ambition”
Recently, Fabrice Cambodia approached Renault's market results on LinkedIn in the first half of the year. In this publication, he said: “Different products, different markets.. an ambition, to create cars that people genuinely love while providing sustainable value for Renault”.
