A Rolls-Royce is a luxury brandUnattainable to many. But in auctions, the prices of older copies can be relatively affordable, as is the case with the automobile we are talking about in this article.

H-and-H has auctioned in the last few weeks in the United Kingdom Silver Shadow II of 1980 for 11,250 pounds – equivalent to 13,180 eurosAt the current exchange rate. The copy is not the cover image, but is identical in its exterior design.

A much more affordable price than several new car models these days. For example: the quadricycle Fiat Topolino most expensive in the proposal currently available in Portugal, the Vilerbrequin, is announced since the 13,490 euros.

This Rolls-Royce has received maintenance, so it is not in bad condition despite the price of “stealing”: last year, it was the target of improvements in the value of about 2,200 pounds, and the original manual and the book of reviews are also available.

Rear-wheel drive, has a V8 engine of 6,750 cubic centimeters that debits 220 hp. The automatic transmission GM400 is three speeds, there is front spoiler, two-level air conditioning, high quality leather finishes and wood, among others.

Until last year, the Silver Shadow II recently auctioned off had ten registered owners over four and a half decades, walking just over 97,000 kilometers. According to the auctioneer, the car “has been used continuously”, but not intensively and is free of inspection – despite having been submitted and approved in inspection for about two years.

As a matter of curiosity: according to our findings, at the time the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II cost just over 41,000 pounds as new in the United Kingdom – which, according to the Bank of England, adjusting to today would be over 185 thousand pounds (217 thousand euros).
