“ Swe know that we will have to suffer and that we will often be pressed by a high quality team like Sporting Braga, but we also have our weapons and we want to create as much discomfort as possible so that they feel that we are here to win the game ", said Madeira, for the second time in acting functions this season, in press conference.

Bruno Abreu, in the technical command after Alexandre Santos left for Petro de Luanda after a short experience in Madeira, with defeats in the four games played, had already gone through an identical situation after Gião's resignation in September, having led the team, also as interim, in the visit to Sporting.

The Madeiran did not comment on the new coach, João Henriques, who will take office from Monday, preferring to highlight the group's willingness to reverse the negative moment.

“ I felt, essentially, a lot of willingness and willingness of the working group to reverse the situation. Of course that is what we are here for and that is what we all want inside the club ", vincou.

The minhoto set also changed coach during the week, with the departure of Carlos Vicens, surrendered in office by Franclim Carvalho, who arrived after an experience in Botafogo, Brazil, and soon won in the premiere, in the reception to the Gent, for 2-0, on the second day of the league phase of the Liga Conference.

Abreu, 51 years old, recognizes the delicate situation of the National, 16th ranked and in a series of six consecutive defeats for the championship, which does not allow “choosing opponents”, being still relatively aware of the working methods of the new ‘timoneer’ of the Brazilians.

“ We have some knowledge of what the ‘mister’ Franclim did, both in Botafogo and now, essentially, in this last game [with Gent]. Trying to perceive some dynamics and reap as many indications as possible [...], but with full awareness that it will be a naturally quite difficult game ", noticed, adding that the eighth place in the table does not "reflect the quality of the team" of Sporting Braga.

Still with physical problems, Léo Santos, Ulysses Rocha, Wesley Gasolina, Igor Liziero and Filipe Soares are absences confirmed in the insular emblem, unlike José Gomes, who trained without limitations during the week and “is summoned”, according to Bruno Abreu.

The National, 16th and prepenultimate ranked, with four points, receives on Sunday the Sporting Braga, eighth, with 11, from 18:00, in the Stadium of Madeira, Funchal, under arbitration of José Bessa, of the Porto association.
