The Achievement page, which shares old tips and grandmother secrets, revealed what things you need to remove from your refrigerator immediately. You may be putting these foods at risk from heat.
“Almost everyone uses top of the fridge as a shelf. This could be a big mistakeI'm sorry. The heat that accumulates in this area and may harm the conservation of some items ", begins by revealing the page.
Which you should never put over the fridge
So they explain that you should avoid storing it on top of the refrigerator bread, cereals and packaged food, but also medicines. In the case of bread they explain that the heat can make it dry and lead to mold growth.

In the case of cereals and packed foods, heat also affects quality and conservation. In the case of medicines, the heat also affects them and can even spoil them.

How to clean the part of the refrigerator that many forget (but should not)
Do you regularly clean the fridge thoroughly? There is a often forgotten site that accumulates much dirt (and mold): the door sealant. Alex Wojenski, a sustainable cleaning expert at Grove Collaborative – quoted in Apartment Therapy – explained how to clean this part of the household appliance.
Then the list of necessary utensils includes a mask; a pair of rubber gloves; a small brush; microfibers cleaning cloths; and a vinegar cleaning solution or just white vinegar.
It recommends that you wear the mask to ensure that you do not inhale the most dangerous particles in the mold. Why? “When the mold is not exposed to moisture [what happens in this area] for long enough to dry (inactive cake), it can be transported by air and easily inhaled”.
It is a good idea to wear a mask, regardless of whether it is active or inactive mold, adds Wojenski, and ventilate the area. The gloves are used to “avoid the mold spreading further” and the brush “allows it to enter the corners and cracks of the fence”.
But first of all, spray the place with the solution or vinegar. Leave acting for an hour and later clean with a cloth. Then spray the area again and use the brush to rub and drop dirt. “Push the brush and clean everything with a clean cloth”. Repeat the process until everything is clean.
Maintaining this routine throughout the year is a simple way to ensure that it does not accumulate dirt and mold.
