"Sponsorship" series? “It truly does justice to our family”

Si'm a coffee lover, as you confessed to News to Minutes, Carolina Sponsorship did not miss the opening of the new Delta Coffee House Experience store at Cais do Sodré in Lisbon on July 14. 

In conversation with News to Minutes, and now that summer has come, SIC’s host spoke initially about her vacation which, she says, “are always very similar” at this time of year. “With four children I always end up taking refuge in the Algarve. It’s the children’s famous big vacation.”

Being a very present face on national television, and with an equally famous family especially on social media, such recognition has now come to streaming. The Sponsorship family recently gained space in Prime Video Portugal, where the series “Patrocinio” was launched, which focuses essentially on the daily lives of the sisters Carolina, Inês, Mariana and Rita – with the participation of their other family members.
 
Asked about the reactions to the series, Carolina Sponsorship stated that “they received, surprisingly, a very positive feedback”. “ It was very well received, accepted, many requests to film more. And we are very happy with the result.”

On the street, he says, there is “normal recognition”. “I don’t feel so different because I’ve had this recognition for many years, because I do programs with public exposure. My sisters more, yes. It’s funny to see that now they know their names, my father’s, my mother’s.”, he added.

Highlighting the reaction of parents – former couple Teresa Vieira de Almeida and Pedro Patrocínio – to this new exhibition, Carolina Patrocínio says that both are managing this new phase with “very natural and very funny – that is, with fun episodes to be recognized”. 

When the proposal to start this new experiment came up, remember, there was some consideration. “ This decision naturally involved much fear, much fear on the part of all. It was a pretty chewy thing, negotiated above all else. And from the moment we also set our limits and became comfortable with it, it was easy to film.”

And the final result? “I think it really does our family justice”, says the presenter, that when asked about the possibility of new episodes added that “it does not depend on itself”. “Let’s see...”
