Ogames of the 16th and the eighth finals of the Portuguese Cup of football will be defined today, in a draw already with the clubs present in the European football competitions, scheduled for 12:00.
The Torreense, holder of the trophy, FC Porto, Benfica, Sporting and Sporting Braga enter the competition in this phase, joining eight other clubs of the I Liga and nine of the II Liga, as well as six representatives of the Liga 3, three of the Championship of Portugal and one of the districts.
The Olánese, chaired by former coach Manuel Cjuda, is the only ‘resistant’ of regional competitions, after a round that dictated the ‘fall’ of six primary divisions and four emblems of the II League – joining Feirense, which had already been in the second round.
The 16-year finals, which will be played on the weekend of 21 and 22 November, will be known in the draw starting at 12:00, in the City of Football, in Oeiras.
At the same time, the pairings for the ‘eighties’, scheduled between 15 and 17 December, will also be defined on dates subject to changes by the presence of teams in European competitions.
