O a private school roof in Pakistan collapsed this morning, causing several fatalities. At least 22 people died, including 21 children, and a teacher, said an emergency service authority, quoted by The Independent.

According to the 20 minutes, at least 10 children died and there are still dozens injured. There will still be several students trapped under the rubble.

The spokesman for the Peshawar emergency services, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Bilal Faizi, said that rescue teams are conducting debris removal operations to reach the people who are still blocked.

The incident happened at a school in Peshawar and on the scene are several emergency teams.

Building collapses are common in Pakistan, where construction standards are often poorly applied. Many structures are built with poor quality materials and often safety standards are ignored to reduce costs.
