A circulation in the IC-19, next to the National Palace of Queluz, in the direction Lisbon-Sintra, will be conditioned on Sunday, between 09:00 and 13:00, due to an exercise of protection and relief with various security forces.
In a statement released today, the Infrastructures of Portugal state that the realization of the security exercise will imply the conditioning of traffic in that area and, consequently, a shift by the branch of exit to the National Palace of Queluz and re-entered in the field with the Practical School of GNR.
The exercise aims to test the operational response of the different civil protection agents to a complex road accident, involving several victims and requiring coordination between the various entities involved.
Among the entities involved in this exercise are the Sub-Regional Command of Emergency and Civil Protection of Greater Lisbon and the Infrastructures of Portugal.
The IC-19 – Radial de Sintra is a fast road with motorway profile located in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area. It is the main link between the capital and the municipalities of Amadora and Sintra.
