Solidário with Venezuela, which was hit by two strong earthquakes, Vin Diesel made a publication on his Instagram page to show his support for the country. And that moment led him to recall Paul Walker and a gesture that the late actor had before the earthquake in Haiti, and he never forgot.

“ This week, I attended a meeting at the studio where someone stated, with genuine and deserved pride, that our screening at Cannes Classics had been Universal's most viral in recent years. I understand why this is a victory... But you know how it is: someone tells us something waiting for a certain reaction, and our mind wanders to another completely different place, to its own nook of memories”, started by writing the actor, protagonist of the movie saga “Furious Speed”.

“Mine wandered into that strange and surreal moment of sadness at the end of the viral display in Cannes. Seeing my brother on screen, handing me the keys, in a scene I remember like yesterday. The applause is over. The room was silent. The looks turned to me. And I couldn’t stop the only tear that acted on its own and decided to fall,” she then shared.

“ In 2010, an earthquake devastated Hispaniola Island. The president of the country asked me to go there and walk the streets of Haiti, to show strength... and to call everyone I knew and beg them to help, to stand by the people who had lost everything because of something no one could have avoided. The only person who responded to the appeal was Pablo”, he recalled, referring to Paul Walker.

“ After that, he asked me how I felt about him creating an organization, because I had seen need with my own eyes. He even asked me what I should call her,” he also recalled when talking about Reach Out Worldwide, the non-profit organization that was founded in 2010 by Paul Walker, whose goal was to bring disaster response teams to strengthen local relief efforts.

“ At that moment, we became brothers forever... not because of a film, prizes or broken records, but because we shared the same recognition of compassion for the abandoned ", he said.

“ So while I was in that room, I heard his voice again. To the studio, to our industry, out of nowhere... I asked the only question that mattered... What are we doing for the victims of this week’s natural disaster?”, he added, referring to the Venezuelan people.

“ At this very moment, in another part of the same region, families are being rescued from the debris of earthquakes that happened without a break. Unknown people arrive with their own shovels. Rescue teams from distant countries are entering destroyed buildings looking for children whose names will never know. Have Venezuela in your thoughts,” he wrote.

“ Because one day, maybe not in my life, maybe during
the life of your children, in which the grace and beauty of the abandoned will come to your rescue. Grace moves in both directions. Always find the way back to the house ", finished.

To remember that Paul Walker died on November 30, 2013, at the age of 40, a car accident.
