A wall Street scholarship opened today with no major variations, while waiting for the Federal Reserve decision on the future of interest rates directors.
By 13:45 in Lisbon, Dow Jones advanced 0.15% to 52.455.13 points, while Nasdaq rose 0.09% to 26,501,91 points.
At the same time, the S&P 500 advanced 0.09% to 7,729.41 points.
The investors are today focused on the Federal Reserve meeting and decision to mess with the principal interest rates.
After rising rates at the September meeting for the first time in more than three years and despite inflation continuing to pressure the US economy, the Fed should wait to restrict monetary policy, giving the markets time to assimilate the previous increase in rates and allow the entity to study its behaviour.
This October meeting, which took place between Tuesday and today, takes place less than a week from the midterm election – ‘midterms’ – which will represent a fire test for the President of the United States, Donald Trump.
Thus, the U.S. director fees should remain in the range of 3.75% and 4% established last month.
Investors also await the disclosure of the results of the giant Alphabet and Microsoft, after closing the market, considered a test for the sector, after the recent uncertainties regarding the investments made in artificial intelligence (IA).
