Adriano Pina will present his debut album, “Fado”, authored by Natália Correia, which recorded in the “Fado Gigana”, by Henrique Lourenço. The album consists of 14 fados, including “No Guess Maria” (Sunday Gonçalves Costa/Fado Skull, by Filipe Pinto), from Manuel Fernandes (1921-1994), and “Vivi por Basso do Chão” (Gonçalo Salgueiro/Fado Cravo, by Alfredo Marceneiro).
The next day, at Amadora Recreios, she sings Maria Ana Bobone, at a concert that marks her 30 years of career. Led in piano and singing, by the National Conservatory of Lisbon, its repertoire has poems by José Carlos Ary dos Santos, Manuel Alegre and José Afonso, among others, with musical arrangements that cross traditional, electronic and contemporary music.
Raquel Tavares closes the festival on the 10th, at Cineteatro D. João V. The fadista edited a new album last November, “Deles por Me (and the Ancient)”, after five years of absence from the studios and that marks her return “to the cradle that is the traditional fado”, as Lusa told the agency.
The alignment is part of fados as “Woman Left” (Ricardo Galeno), “For Dying a Andorinha” (Frederico de Brito/Américo Santos/Francisco Viana) and “Trigueirinha” (António Vilar da Costa/Jorge Fernando).
