“Destroyed”. The police theory for the robbery of Bruno Fernandes' house

British law enforcement authorities suspect that the group responsible for the robbery of Bruno Fernandes's home will have taken advantage of photographs published on social media by a decorator to deduce where the Manchester United captain's family would have kept the jewels.

Athe police authorities of England continue to investigate the assault of Bruno Fernandes's home last Wednesday, when the Portuguese international was in Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia in Italy, to compete for the meeting of the third day of the league phase of the Champions League, of which 'his' Manchester United would be defeated by Como, by categorics 4-1.

According to this Saturday's edition of the British newspaper The Sun, those responsible for the case have already started to outline some theories about this episode, one of which points out that the three hoodies responsible for it have taken advantage of the fact that, days before, a decorator hired by the portuguese international has published, on social networks, a sequence of photographs of his mansion, evaluated in close to five million euros.

The images, in which it was possible to glimpse the work that the professional carried out (one of them was really a ‘selfie’ with the 32-year-old player), were, however, erased by his own, but not without having been widely shared by the fans of the red devils, being possible that they were used to make the robbers understand where the jewels they took from the site would be stored.

At this moment, everything points to the looting being done by what is already nicknamed “gangues away day”, that is, meliants who aim at the house of famous professionals when they know that their clubs are playing, as happened, for example, in January, to the Portuguese also Reuben Dias, during the victory of the ‘his’ Manchester City over the Galatasaray, also for the million-dollar race, by 2-0.

Ana Pinho, Bruno Fernandes' wife, and her children, Gonçalo and Matilde, were not at home at the time of the assault on the residence in Cheshire County. It is protected by a highly technological security system, which includes, among others, alarms, video surveillance cameras and electrical gates, but none of this was enough to prevent what happened.

The alert was issued by a neighbor of the captain of the Red Devils, who glimpsed the men concerned on the villa lawn. Police officers arrived at the scene in the space of approximately ten minutes, but they had already fled from it, so the investigation has mainly been based on the analysis of video surveillance images captured by the cameras of the surrounding houses.

Michael Carrick’s words to Bruno Fernandes

The same publication adds that Bruno Fernandes’s family is “ravaged” by this robbery. Manchester United’s own coach Michael Carrick took advantage, on Friday, of the press conference forecasting the game of the eighth round of the Premier League against Bournemouth in Old Trafford, to send him a message in the margins of the ‘war’ that both have been experiencing over the last few days.

“It’s a terrible thing to hear and to freak out. We are obviously doing a lot of work to support Bruno and his family. Fortunately, they weren't directly affected, even if it was a horrible situation. I'm not devaluing this at all, you know? But we are doing everything we can to support them”, said the Red Devils coach.
